The Beginnings

Danny checks out the seedlings and gives an assessment of their growth.
Mike created this shelving system using wire, nails and old shutters to accommodate the seedlings.
It was hard to fit all of the seedlings in the greenhouse. Here they are on the ground.

Chris Madgical scopes out the view from above.
Here are Mike, Bryan and Chris working away.
The majority of the Campus Community Farm's plants got their start as seedlings. Their home during this early fragile phase of life was this makeshift greenhouse at Chancelor's point built by SMCM students during Spring Break 2010.
The Campus Community Farm began as a conglomeration of visions. Efforts from the SMCM student body, in particular the Sustainable Committee, the Environmental Science Department, the Campus Gardening club and the Chancellors Point project all contributed to getting the Farm off the ground. Here is what the plot looked like before it was planted. The road to the right is Route 5 and behind the treeline is Rosecroft Rd.
